The aluminum sheet is offset from the wall by a 3/4" thick wooden frame which is attached to the back. The wooden frame includes a hanging wire for easy mounting on your wall (see photo on the left).

This image was combined from 19 frames. During 90 min period of time, 180 photos were taken. 19 photos containing shooting stars were selected. The starts were auto-aligned in Photoshop. Only one layer was used as foreground, for other layers, only shooting stars were brushed out.
